Moved!

Out of the condo and into the farmhouse! With help from friends moved in 2h20m. Nice to be done. Now time for prepping the camper and trying to lighten our luggage and gear! Decided to add another leaf to my rear suspension to supplement the air bags. Safety first, of course. More to come - ~2 weeks til disembarking!

Lizzy just made cesars with our clamato and everything else in the fridge and cupboard. No vodka so we went gin.

Moving day!

Sunday is moving day after 2 years in my downtown condo. Pretty excited to simplify and move into the camper for a while! Of course, moving sucks. But at least I have a nice farm in Gormley to crash at and get the land yacht ready for disembarking ~May 2.

After thought- picking up the cargo trailer tomorrow in Oshawa which will haul my beautiful Triumph across the continent and up to Alaska.  I hope it was well made, and that I don't regret opting out of the spare tire option!

Spoke with my insurance broker today about coverage for camper and trailer, as essentially everything valuable that I own will be rolling down the road on 6 tires and subjected to bad drivers bad choices for 12,000km.  Plus robbers and other bad people.  Pack a big knife.

My Scrambler loaded up on Manitoulin Island

Mexicano

Practicing our Mexican cooking skills.  That's what they eat in America.  And it's fresh and cheap to make - and camper friendly (though perhaps not the beans, tbd).  +Goes well with cervezas, which are also cheap in the USofA.
